  Red, Yellow, (All) Black
  -As rugby fever starts to build, the Waikato Museum are developing the rugby exhibition Red, Yellow, (All) Black - a local look at our national game. This is going to be an exciting, lively exhibition – something great for the whole family! Under the three themes of People, Passion and Play, visitors will be able to take a close look at rugby in the Waikato. There will be a great mix of players represented, from juniors to superstars, as well as fantastic highlights from our history.
  Older rugby buffs will enjoy exploring our Waikato Champions wall, while younger visitors will enjoy the opportunity to get to know some of their rugby heroes a little better – (just how much do the Waikato players eat?!)
  Relive some of the defining moments in our rugby history, such as Waikato's 14-10 victory over South Africa in 1956 which is still considered one of our greatest rugby moments. Beating the 'Boks' saw the streets packed with fans who were high on Mooloo fever!

  Rita Angus: Selected Works
  -Rita Angus was one of New Zealand’s pioneer artists. This exhibition of her works includes paintings, watercolours and drawings, unfinished studies and seldom-seen items. The exhibition has been selected from Te Papa’s collection, and works cared for by the Museum on behalf of the Rita Angus Estate.
  
  The exhibition draws on similar themes to Rita Angus: Life & Vision. It shows Angus’s commitment to pacifism, her strong feminist views, her spiritual beliefs, her love of nature and her affinity for the New Zealand landscape.
  
  The exhibition includes portraits and self-portraits, landscapes, and her late depictions of Wellington and Hawke’s Bay. Several key works from the retrospective are featured, including Self-portrait (1929), Lawrence Baigent (1938–39/43), Central Otago (1953–56/69), and Flight (1968–69).
